ON THE WINGS OF AN EAGLE

By Chester Fields

This bronze cast sculpture is the work of Chester Fields, an artist born in The Dalles, United States and grew up in British Columbia, Canada. Fields spent his childhood being surrounded by nature, which in turn became the source of his inspiration. He paid particular attention to eagles, following them as they were flying by or catching their prey. Fields would then put his observation on paper, canvas, and sculpture. His artworks are always extremely detailed, making them appear very lifelike. Fields got his style from studying the works of artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, and Rodin.
