TIGA WAYANG

Men Sagan is a nationally and internationally recognized artist from Indonesia who has done exhibitions in many parts of the world. He is mostly known for continuing the legacy of his teacher, Affandi, in his painting style. The man, who hailed from Sagan, Yogyakarta, does not only copy Affandi's trademark characteristics in his work, he also creates his own innovations from it. This painting, titled "Three Wayangs", is one of the results. Men Sagan picked a bright white colour as the basis of this painting, which deviates from Affandi's predominantly dark-hued artworks.
